Since we made our big announcement about the storefront, I have been blown away by the response we have received. Your support means the world to us, we truly cannot even put it into words.

We officially received the keys to our new storefront this week, and hold the water works… it all hit me. Unlocking the front door, stepping in with my box full of paint samples from the local paint supply… and all I could think about was how grateful I am. Stepping into the shop, even though it is in the midst of a project, felt so right.
(Happy discovery, original hardwoods throughout, we will be sanding & refinishing in a natural finish or paint.)
Eloise was eager to help her daddy as he started light demo. Her excitement was evident, as she twirled about and carried tools and scraps of wood in an effort to help Ky with the start of what will be a big transformation.
This all feels very familiar in that we have embarked on a few major building transformations before, including that of our first home (the og Maple House) and the heritage barn. We both agreed that even though it would be a lot of work, we were ready, and it just seemed good, we felt right at home, confirmation that we are on the right path.
The wonderful thing about this particular space, is that it won’t take too much to make it all that more special. A whole lot of paint, new trim work, bead board galore, floor restoration, light fixtures, landscaping, and a little more paint.
If everything goes as planned, we hope to open shop early September. Stay tuned for an exact opening date, we do plan to have an evening celebration at the new storefront on that day. Details to come (be sure to join our mailing list)!
In the meantime, we are working every spare minute to get the shop ready, prepare for our last market at the heritage barn this August 25th through the 27th, and prioritize family life in the midst of it all.
Your continued support and encouragement is so appreciated. We feel all the love and prayers in this new chapter. I have so many fun things planned for the storefront, I just cannot wait to see this project come to completion and share in it all with you! I will be sure to share updates as we work on the shop this month, there is lots to do!
(Fun fact, my husband and I first met not 50 feet from this building over 15 years ago!)
